The Split Material tool allows you to split a single material number into multiple pieces without changing the total on hand quantity.
Rules/Logic:
1. As you split material, the parent automatically adjusts to make sure the total quantity stays the same. For example, if you select a 100 FT roll of carpet and create a split piece equal to 50 FT, the parent becomes 50 FT too, keeping the total at 100 FT.
2. Splitting material that's assigned to Pick Ticket(s) will automatically unassign it from all of them.
3. Returning to Parent: You can return material to the parent after a split has occurred. The sequence of the parent is kept and the balance will update correctly.
