Material Only Sales Order

  1. Create a Sales Order (Quick Create, From the Contact, or from the Sales Order list view)
  2. Select the Customer
  3. Skip the Floorplan & Layout selection and click Create Sales Orderimage.png
  4. This will create a blank Sales Order where you can begin adding material from the Order Lines page
  5. Add Material and Apply Changesimage.pngimage.png
  6. Return to the Overview page
  7. Service Location - This is a required field.  If you don’t need to specify a unit#, you can simply create a unit called “Material Only”
  8. Installation Date - Required Field.  Installation Date is used to group Pick Tickets by Priority and to let the warehouse know when they need to pick the material.  An Installation Date of Today will be grouped as a High Priority ticket for the warehouse telling them the material is needed right away.  If you don’t need the material picked today, choose the date that the material will be picked up.  Since a Work Order won’t be generated for a material only sale, this date will only correspond with the Pick Ticket date.
  9. Confirm the Sales Orderimage.png
  10. Once the Sales Order is confirmed, you’ll see a Pick Ticket generated below the Blue Overview Ribbon.  All that’s left to do is to pick the material and invoice the customer.image.png
